    What’s new at MPCSD? Employee Incentives!

     

    24 Hour Fitness:  

    MPCSD has partnered with 24 Hour Fitness to offer gym memberships at the corporate discount.  If you haven't already done so, please feel free to utilize this incentive!  Please contact Joan O’Neill you would like more information.


    Optum, Inc.: 

    This Employee Assistive Program (EAP) offers help on a range of issues such as legal, financial, drug/alcohol dependency, and psychological. Brochures were went to all school sites during the first week of school with information on the all the program has to offer.


    Commuter Incentive:

    MPCSD an Employee Commuter Incentive Program that rewards employees for using alternative transportation to get to and from our campuses.  Any employee who uses public transit or a vanpool arrangement to commute to work may receive a reimbursement of up to $75 per month for public transit costs.  Please click here to access the reimbursement form.

     

     

  • CalSTRS:

    In September, every 10-month certificated employee experienced an increase in the rate paid to CalSTRS (retirement system). CalSTRS is in its second-year of a three-year gradual rate increase for all STRS members. Most members (see explanation below) saw contribution rates increase from 8.15% to 9.20% effective July 1, 2015. For most of you, this increase was reflected beginning in your September paycheck.  This increase means STRS members are being deducted an increased amount per paycheck.     American Fidelity Open Enrollment:

    Don’t forget that American Fidelity will be visiting our campuses the first week of November to enroll  interested in employees in Section 125 programs (including ). Employees enrolled in the excess medical or dependent care portion of Section 125 must contact American Fidelity each year to renew or revise their contracts. A memo with more information will be sent October 15 from the Business Department. To schedule your American Fidelity appointment, please see your School Office Manager.     December Medical Benefits Increase:

    Anyone who takes health insurance from MPCSD will see an increase in their health premiums beginning December 2015. The amount of increase will depend on the plan to which you subscribe. Information regarding the increase was included in your open enrollment packet that was distributed to your school mailbox earlier this year.
