Ongoing NeedsVolunteering in Your Child's Classroom Almost every child is THRILLED when a parent comes to their classroom. Each teacher has their own style, so you will have to check to see what kinds of volunteers are needed. Some examples of ways you might help are guest reader, assisting with class projects, field trip chaperones, etc. It's fun ... get involved! Please contact your teacher or Head Room Parent.PTO CommitteesThe activites and events that are sponsored by the PTO help make Encinal special. This is a great way to make a difference -- your participation directly influences the quality of your child's Encinal experience. If something interests you, get more details by clicking on a specific activity/event. Get involved! ArtEach class has special sessions dedicated to art. These projects foster creativity. Students learn patience, perseverence and self-expression by developing their artistic talents. Parent Volunteers are needed to assist with weekly projects. If you are interested in helping, please talk with your teacher and/or HRP contact the Art Teacher, Mrs. Noon, for more information.LibraryOur Librarian, Ms. Healy, plans a library lesson or story for each class during the week. Parent volunteers help check library books in and out and help students find books that interest them. To volunteer, please talk to your Head Room Parent to get on the library schedule for your class. If you have questions or you aren't sure how to contact your HRP, please send an email to email@example.com.
Did you know that the Encinal Teaching Garden runs entirely by parent volunteers? If you have a green thumb, enjoy being outside getting a little dirty, or at least know a root from a leaf and a tomato from a cucumber, you would be a perfect volunteer in the garden.
We need parent volunteers every day from 11:15-12:30 to serve Hot Lunch to the students that have placed orders. It's fun getting to work with a team of other parents, get to say 'hi' to all the kids, and earn a free lunch credit for every shift worked.
