Laurel School Facility Project
Background
The Laurel campus sits on approximately 6.5 acres in Atherton and serves approximately 460 students, kindergarten through third grade. The Laurel campus includes 23 standard classrooms, art classroom, science classroom, mini-multipurpose room, multipurpose building, library building, administration building, and computer lab facilities. The campus has 5 classroom pods that are interlinked by pathways in a heavily landscaped park like setting. The campus also has a main courtyard area for school wide gatherings, lunch shelters, kindergarten play area, and a field and play area for 1st through 3rd grade students. Located at the Laurel School site is the new Children Oak Center serving special needs pre-school students and occupational therapy District wide. Total construction cost spent at Laurel to date is $10,231,832 with a total project cost of $12,766,756.| Completed Projects | ||

The Pre-school/Occupational Therapy Building and playground area are complete. The building has been formally named "The Heritage Oak Children's Center".
