Hillview's Paper Summer Mailer will go out Monday, August 13. Our practice is to mail all families digitally, and to send those who have not opted in to paperless mailing a hard copy packet. The mailer will include important documents that families will need for the Aug. 21 E Komo Mai Luau, as well as other important information about the upcoming school year. All documents in the mailer will eventually be located in the Quicklinks section of the website.
On August 21, Hillview welcomes back all families from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for our anuual E Komo Mai Luau. After completing some light "housekeeping," students will receive their schedules for the 2018-19 school year.
6th graders begin their middle school journey the day before the first day of school, on Wednesday, August 22. WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Day, led by our 8th grade WEB leaders, orients incoming 6th graders in a fun, friendly, and supportive way. WEB Day runs from 9:00 - 1:30. Lunch is provided.
The morning of Wednesday, August 22, we welcome families new to Hillview for our New Family Orientation, from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. in the Hillview PAC (Performing Arts Center). This program will be similar to the one in the spring, but it never hurts to get the information a second time.
Thursday, August 23, is the first day of the 2018-19 school year. We will have normal Thursday school hours, 8:25 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Come early on day one because traffic is usually higher volume.
