The Menlo Park City School District consists of 4 schools; Encinal Elementary School, Laurel Elementary School, Oak Knoll Elementary School, and Hillview Middle School. We also have the District Office and TERC (Teacher Education Resource Center) buildings. The District has made major improvements to its facilities. In the Fall of 2012 the District opened the brand new Hillview Middle School which includes a large courtyard, new performing arts auditorium that can seat 400, a library media center, an administration building, and 50 teaching classrooms.
In November 2013 voters approved the Measure W Bond to further modernize and provide new school facilities. Construction is in progress, and the Laurel School Upper Campus is slated to open its doors in theFall of 2016. Other recent projects include seismic projects and a shade structure project at Laurel and Oak Knoll Schools. Modernization work was also completed at Encinal School, building A, and deferred maintenance projects like parking lot repairs at Laurel and the District Office’s TERC building.
