Apply Here for the 2021-22 School Year

We currently have a few spaces remaining for the 2021-22 school year at both campuses. We are accepting applications for  full-fee students and the waitlist is open for scholarship and state preschool spaces. Historically, we have had many students enrolled from our waitlist as families make changes to their plans in the Spring and Summer and we highly recommend adding your child to the waitlist, at no cost to you, if you are intersted in our program.

Eligible children will be 3 years old by December 1, 2021 and fully potty trained by the first day of school.

Children eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (born between September 1- December 1) are welcome to attend the ELC but will not be eligible to receive tuition assistance in their last year before kindergarten.

The 2021-22 ELC Tentative Instructional Calendar is now available here.

Although we can't give in-person tours this year, please view our new Early Learning Center Video, made in recognition of the Russel J. Kent Award we received this year and you can see many photos of our program on this page of our website. In case you missed them, this is the slide presentation for the virtual tours. In addition, we have recently added examples of our teacher's weekly communications to parents with lots more photos of our program here and this is our annual presentation to the MPCSD school board.

Two of our district's Hillview Middle School students developed a 2.5 minute video of children in our ELC classroom at Oak Knoll in 2019-20 school year. You can view that video here!

Join the ELC Seagulls Virtual Class for the 2020-21 school year!

Classes are conducted via Zoom by one of our fully-qualifed lead teachers Monday-Friday at a cost of $100 a week and include a 45 minute circle time and activity time and 1:1 virtual visits twice a week with one of our teachers. Art supply packets are provided with materials to be used during distance learning activities.

Curriculum themes follow the outline of our in-person classes, for example, when we studied the oceans, we asked children:

    • What do we know about the ocean and what would we like to learn?
    • What kinds of plants and animals live in the ocean?
    • How can we keep the oceans clean and healthy?
    • What can we do at the beach?
    • How do we stay safe in the ocean and at the beach?
    • How deep is the ocean?
