Tinsley Voluntary Transfer Program Bus Service

MPCSD is happy to announce that bus services for the Tinsley Voluntary Transfer Program students will continue for the  2022-23 school year with modifications. School bus drivers will follow all safety protocols, including the use of facial coverings and hand hygiene.

    Responsibilities of Parents and Passengers

Students must be at their designated stops five minutes prior to the bus departure time. Students are expected to wait on the right side of the bus. For the safety of your children, please refrain from waiting across the street. Parents are responsible for their students' arrival and return from their designated bus stop.

Kindergarten students must be accompanied to and from all bus stops by an adult aged 18 or older. Bus drivers will not release a kindergartener unless an adult is present. If a parent requests a bus stop change, they shall notify the school site in advance and provide a signed note by a parent to the bus driver.

All parents or guardians must complete the daily student health screening form on the ParentSquare app at home and answer “NO” to all health screening questions before leaving home to board their bus. If you answer “YES” to any of the questions, your child  must remain at home and will not be allowed to board the bus until they are cleared by the school nurse. In addition, bus drivers will do temperature checks of all students. Parents must wait until their child passes the temperature check process. If your child has a high temperature, they will be asked to return to their parent/guardian and will not be able to board the bus. Hand sanitizer will be available for all students boarding the bus. Face coverings will be required to be worn by all bus riders. Weather permitting, bus windows will remain open for ventilation purposes. Each bus will be sanitized after each use.

Transditional Kindergarten bus transportation will be provided for Tinsley families for the 2023-24 school year.
