    2022 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

for 4th and 5th grade girls

Laurel Girls Volleyball is in full swing!  Teams have been formed and thanks to dedicated parents, we are thrilled to have formed three teams this year!

Registration is closed, but there is still room to join.  If your child is interested in playing volleyball this year, please email sports@laurelpto.org before October 6th.

No experience is necessary and we encourage all girls to take advantage of this great opportunity to try volleyball. It’s a terrific non-contact team sport and our program will emphasize FUN, teamwork, a sense of belonging (team & school), fundamental skill development, and advancing girls’ knowledge of the rules and strategy.

Teams will be playing in the Menlo Park Recreation League competing against other area schools and other Laurel teams. All Laurel teams will be comprised of players with balanced skills and experience levels. All coaches are parent or teacher volunteers.

Practices: Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays

Games: Thursdays, once a week at the Arrillaga Gymnasium at Burgess Park.

This is a fun, developmental league and no basketball experience is necessary to play.

Registration will open on October 5th.  High registration numbers are expected and we hit capacity, your child will be placed on a waitlist.  Click here to register.

Practices: Twice a week at Upper Laurel campus gym once teams are announced.

Games: once a week at Arrillaga Gymnasium at Burgess, starting after Thanksgiving. Most games are played on Saturdays, but your child’s division may be playing during the week.

Player Evaluation Day: All players are required to attend player evaluation at the Upper Laurel upper campus gym to be placed on a team.  Evaluations are tentatively scheduled for the week of October 24th.

League Fees: The season fee is $130 per player; scholarships are available.

All Laurel teams will be balanced with players of varying skill and experience levels. All coaches are parent or teacher volunteers.

We are still in need of volunteer coaching staff at each grade level. If you’d like to help somehow, please email sports@laurelpto.org.  Laurel Sports prioritizes the opportunity for all students to play, but we can only field as many teams as there are coaches.
