Giving to Our Schools

  • Did you know that the four schools in the Menlo Park City School District are “community-funded”? Approximately 90% of the funding for our schools comes from local sources: including property taxes, parcel taxes, and your support of two crucial organizations – the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation (MPAEF) and each school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). You can easily support these organizations with one simple contribution as part of the One Community Campaign.
    Without your financial support of these organizations, our schools would not meet the high expectations of our community: classroom teachers to manage class size growth; music, art & library classes; performing art & elective opportunities in middle school; field trips & assemblies; grade-level & school-wide events for our kids and families; and much more. These things simply do not exist in most public schools in California.
