If you have expenditures that you need to submit for reimbursement or need to have a check issued by the PTO, please print off and complete the PTO Request for Reimbursement/Disbursement Form, staple receipts to back of form and place in the PTO Treasurer’s mailbox (near the teacher mailboxes) in the school office. Please refer to the PTO Financial Guidelines or email the PTO Treasurer if you have questions.

Update and manage the list of engaging programs for children to attend at Encinal after school.

Organize and run the Encinal Book Fair.

Promote activities to encourage and develop children's awareness of others' needs, both at school and in the community. Coordinate Thanksgiving and Holiday donation drives. Organize additional fundraising opportunities for the program such as school movie nights.

Coordinates the Encinal Garden Program including organizing parent volunteers to teach indoor/outdoor garden lessons. Ensure parent-volunteers have the resources and supplies they need to give teach garden class to students.

Encourages participation in Girl Scouts for all grade levels.

Work with Encinal staff to promote and enhance pedestrian, bicycle, and car safety on and near campus. Represent Encinal within the citywide Parents for Safe Routes organization.

Plan and coordinate community events including the Fall Family Picnic and Eagle Fest.

Produce the school newsletter on a weekly basis.

Administer the written spelling bee to 3-5th graders in November and the oral spelling bee in January.

Organize and provide luncheons, breakfasts, and treats to faculty and staff several times throughout the year (ex: Back to School, Conference Week, Holiday, Staff Appreciation Week, End of Year).

Plan and design the annual yearbook including supplier management, content, layout, ordering, and distribution. Volunteers also work as class and event photographers to ensure that all students and events are represented in the yearbook.
