    The 2022-23 School Year Application will be Available Here in

    November 2021


    Please visit us here in November to apply for the 2022-23 school year lottery!


    Due to COVID, we are not currently offering in-person tours of our classrooms,  however, we will offer virtual information sessions starting in mid-October.


    Although we can't give in-person tours, please view the following resources to get a feel for our program and philosophy:

    We currently have a few spaces available for our full-fee program. Please contact us if you are interested and we can provide more information based on your interests. All tuition asisstance and state preschool spaces are full. 


    Eligible children must be 3 years old by December 1, 2021 and fully potty trained by the first day of school.


    Children eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (born between September 1- December 1) are welcome to attend the ELC.

In case you missed them, this is the slide presentation for the virtual tours. In addition, we have recently added examples of our teacher's weekly communications to parents with lots more photos of our program here and this is our annual presentation to the MPCSD school board. 


    Two of our district's Hillview Middle School students developed a 2.5 minute video of children in our ELC classroom at Oak Knoll in 2019-20 school year. You can view that video here!


    Los niños elegibles tendrán 3 años para el 1 de diciembre de 2021 y serán entrenados para ir al baño el primer día de clases.
    Los niños elegibles para el jardín de infantes de transición/TK (nacidos entre el 1 de septiembre y el 1 de diciembre) no serán elegibles para recibir ayuda con la matrícula en su último año antes del transición al jardín de infantes.
    La fecha límite para la primera lotería fue el 11 de enero y los resultados se enviarán a las familias la semana del 25 de enero.

    The Menlo Park City School District’s Early Learning Center nurtures young children’s curiosity, sense of wonder, belonging, and deep engagement with the world around them, preparing them to develop the critical skills needed to enter kindergarten and reach their full potential.

    San Mateo County Pandemic Recovery Framework



    These data are reported monthly and will be updated by Tuesday for the previous week. Positive Covid cases are reported to San Mateo County Health, per the county's Pandemic Recovery Framework (PRF). Case notifications are provided to the appropriate cohorts and school communities. No identifying details about individuals reporting cases will be provided to the public. This data is being reported beginning the week of July 13, 2020, the week that ELC returned to in-person learning.
