We currently have a few spaces remaining for the 2021-22 school year at both campuses. We are accepting applications for full-fee students and the waitlist is open for scholarship and state preschool spaces. Historically, we have had many students enrolled from our waitlist as families make changes to their plans in the Spring and Summer and we highly recommend adding your child to the waitlist, at no cost to you, if you are intersted in our program.
Eligible children will be 3 years old by December 1, 2021 and fully potty trained by the first day of school.
Children eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (born between September 1- December 1) are welcome to attend the ELC but will not be eligible to receive tuition assistance in their last year before kindergarten.
Although we can't give in-person tours this year, you can check out the photos on this page of our website. In addition, we have recently added examples of our teacher's weekly communications to parents with lots more photos of our program here and our annual presentation to the MPCSD school board.
Two of our district's Hillview Middle School students developed a 2.5 minute video of children in our ELC classroom at Oak Knoll in 2019-20 school year. You can view that video here!
Virtual Information and Q & A Sessions will be held on these dates
In case you missed them, this is the slide presentation for the virtual tours.

Engaging children through play, experimentation, friendship and perseverance to light the fire of lifelong learning.
The Menlo Park City School District’s Early Learning Center nurtures young children’s curiosity, sense of wonder, belonging, and deep engagement with the world around them, preparing them to develop the critical skills needed to enter kindergarten and reach their full potential.
Our caring and knowledgeable teachers support the development of friendships, foster positive conflict resolution skills, and ensure that children have a sense of belonging and feel safe and valued for their unique gifts.
