Questions about Visitors & Volunteers on Campus
Q: Will parents and other visitors be allowed on campus?
A: Parent Visitors/Volunteers: Parents are requested not to visit campus until further notice, with the possible exception of limited visitors in the school offices. Please refer to your site communications for details.
Parent visitors will be allowed back on campus gradually depending on health orders. The district will reassess visitor guidelines three weeks after the reopening of school.
Community Visitors: MPCSD will not allow community visitors (people who are not part of MPCSD student households) until at least Step Three (minimum of six weeks after school starts) of the reopening process, as outlined in the Pandemic Recovery Framework (pages 34-36).
Q: Will there be parent volunteering?
A: No parent volunteers will be on campus until further notice, with the exception noted above.
However, our school Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) and the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation are active in their support of our schools and district. Activities supported by the PTOs and MPAEF continue remotely. Please contact your school’s PTO president or the MPAEF website for more information about volunteering.
