The District’s Budget follows an 18-month cycle. It is developed each spring for the following school year and must be adopted before July 1. The Budget is then updated during the year at two interim periods. The Board of Trustees is required to certify the financial condition of the District when the budget is adopted and at the two interim reporting periods during the school year. The first interim ends October 31, with a reporting deadline of December 15. The second interim ends January 31, with a reporting deadline of March 15. The books are then closed after June 30, and the Unaudited Actuals are reported by September 15. The final step in the budget cycle is the presentation of the Audit Report, usually in December. The District’s interim and year-end closing reports can be found on Agenda Online for the Board meetings corresponding to the appropriate reporting month.
