    Otter Weekly

    A weekly electronic newsletter of school activities and announcements is distributed each Sunday evening during the school year via ParentSquare. The Otter Weekly serves as the main source of communication between the school and parents, so please make sure you are receiving and reviewing it. All registered families will automatically receive these emails. If you are not receiving the emails, please email newsletter@oakknollschool.org and your email address will be added. 

    For submissions to the newsletter, please email to newsletter@oakknollschool.org by 12:00 noon on Wednesday prior to the following Sunday publication date.

     

    Signage

    Keep an eye out for key news, events and sign ups posted around the school on the:
    - banners on the railings
    - bulletin boards outside the office
     

    Websites

    The Oak Knoll website is a good source of school-specific information - the Back-to-School Top Ten and Calendar are great places to start with to get ready for a new school year. For Menlo Park City School District information such as mission, strategic plan, curriculum, staff and so on, please visit the MPCSD website. For information on the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation, its mission, fundraising events and what it funds, please visit the MPAEF website. Parents will receive regular communication by email from Oak Knoll, the MPCSD Superintendent, and the MPAEF.     Parent Education 

    Regular informational meetings and education events for parents on various topics of interest are held throughout the year. Keep an eye out for specific events, highlighted in the weekly newsletter.
      

    KNOL

    KNOL is broadcast from the Oak Knoll library to each classroom first thing every morning Monday through Friday during the school year. Students hear from other students about what is going on in school that day.

    The Menlo Park City School District directory is available through ParentSquare. If you discover any incorrect information and/or need to have any information updated please contact the District Registrar at (650) 321-7140 Ext. 5600 or email registrar@mpcsd.org 
     

    Paper Flyers

    In an effort to go paperless and save costs, paper flyers are not distributed to every student each week. The PTO encourages electronic flyers and announcements which can be linked to the newsletter or posted on the Oak Knoll website. The general rule is that it must be a form that needs to filled out and returned to school (e.g. Noteworthy Art). Any paper flyers are subject to approval by the PTO.
