Strategic Directions 2024-30
Strategic Direction #1: Grow Student Belonging
Milestones used to measure this direction:
- All students, specifically focal student groups, will report an increase in sense of belonging.
- Decrease in suspension data.
- Staff (classified and certificated) will report an increase in sense of belonging.
- Each school and district administrator will complete at least 90 informal classroom visits annually.
- MPCSD parents/guardians report at/above 85% favorability on annual survey when asked, "How satisfied are you with your connection to your child's school community?"
Strategic Direction #2: Strengthen Academic Excellence
Milestones used to measure this direction:
- All students, specifically focal student groups, will improve annual academic performance.
- Bring to zero the number of "long-term" English Language Learners who have been in MPCSD since Kindergarten and/or at least five years.
- MPCSD teachers report at/above 85% favorability when asked, "Overall, how helpful has the collaboration and professional development been for supporting and improving your teaching?" and "How helpful are your colleagues' ideas for improving your teaching?"
- MPCSD parents/guardians report at/above 85% favorability on annual survey when asked, "How well does this school meet your child's learning needs?"
Strategic Direction #3: Create Inspiring Environments
Milestones used to measure this direction:
- All students, specifically focal group students, will report an increased favorability regarding the overall social and physical learning climate of their school.
- Before 2030, MPCSD will be recognized as a Green Ribbon District.
- Facilities projects, which can be funded, are monitored and consistently completed on time and at or under budget.
