Joint Presentation of Initial Proposals and Responses of the Menlo Park City School District and the Menlo Park Education Association (MPEA) for the 2023-24 School Year. This item provides the public with an opportunity to address the joint presentation of the initial proposals between Menlo Park City School District (MPCSD) and the Menlo Park Education Association (MPEA) for the 2023-2024 School Year. The District and MPEA have a joint interest in negotiating the Collective Bargaining Contract in its entirety.

Menlo Park City School District (“District”) and California School Employees Association and its Menlo Park Chapter 630 (“CSEA”) (collectively “Parties”) have reached this Tentative Agreement (“TA”) on the following articles:

• Article VII: Holidays

• Article VIII: Leave Provisions

• Article XV: Safety and Working Conditions

• Article XX: Professional Growth/Staff Development

• Article XXV: Layoffs, Reductions, and Reemployment Rights (a new article)
