MPCSD World Language Program
We believe that being bilingual is a super power. Bilingualism improves the structure and the performance of the brain. Research has shown that students who are bilingual have, among other things, increased brain power, excellent literacy skills, a strong working memory, empathy and understanding for other cultures, and the ability to communicate with people around the world!
That is why, in the Menlo Park City School District, all TK-5 students have the opportunity to engage in Spanish language development either through a weekly Spanish Specialist program or a comprehensive Spanish Immersion program.
Additionally, all middle school students have the option of learning Spanish, French, or exploring different cultures.
