Welcome to the Menlo Park City School District!  We are an elementary school district serving students from preschool through 8th grade. Our District includes Encinal, Laurel, and Oak Knoll Elementary Schools and Hillview Middle School, plus the fee-based preschool, The Early Learning Center. MPCSD serves families residing in most neighborhoods of Menlo Park and Atherton.  To verify that your address lies within the MPCSD borders, please use the School Locator link.

All NEW students (TK-8) residing in MPCSD can register for the 2024-25 school year.

FALL: 2025-26 NEW STUDENT Registration begins February 3, 2025

The 2025-26 registration window for new students - including our TK students who will register for kindergarten - opens on February 3, 2025.  Registration is based on home address and kindergartners who complete registration in February will be assured assignment to their neighborhood school. 

(Returning students in grades 1-8 do not need to do anything at this time. Families of currently enrolled K-7th grade students will receive a re-enrollment email in spring.)

Fall 2025 Kindergarten Spanish Immersion enrollment information:

In order for your student to be considered for Spanish Immersion, you MUST attend ONE mandatory Spanish Immersion meeting and complete kindergarten registration during the priority registration process which ends February 28, 2025.  Failure to do so will result in your child being placed on the site's Spanish Immersion wait-list.  Current immersion parents with incoming kinders are also required to attend ONE meeting.
