Welcome to the Menlo Park City School District! We are an elementary school district serving students from preschool through 8th grade. Our District includes Encinal, Laurel, and Oak Knoll Elementary Schools and Hillview Middle School, plus the fee-based preschool, The Early Learning Center. MPCSD serves families residing in most neighborhoods of Menlo Park and Atherton. To verify that your address lies within the MPCSD borders, please use the School Locator link.

FALL: 2026-27 NEW STUDENT Registration is OPEN
The 2026-27 registration window for all new students - including our current TK students who will register for kindergarten - is OPEN.
Registration is based on home address and kindergarteners who complete registration within February 2 - 28, 2026 will be assured assignment to their neighborhood school.
FALL: 2026-27 Kindergarten Spanish Immersion program information:
Parents/guardians new to the Spanish Immersion program must attend a Mandatory Spanish Immersion Information Meeting.
Meeting is optional for parents/guardians with currently enrolled students in the MPCSD Spanish Immersion program.
To be eligible for the Spanish Immersion lottery you must complete kindergarten registration during the priority registration window February 2-28. Registration received after February 28, 2026 will be added to a program waitlist.

Spanish Immersion Lottery - Participation is not required - Notifications will be sent after the lottery has been completed.

FALL: 2026-27 RE-ENROLLMENT for current students is available March 16 - April 3, 2026
Re-enrollment for CURRENT kindergarten - 7th grade students begins March 16 and runs through April 3. An email with instructions and application access will be sent directly to families on Monday, March 16. Please check your spam folder if you do not see the message in your inbox.
Students returning in the fall MUST complete re-enrollment by April 3. If you have questions, contact the registrar at 650-321-7140 x5600 or registrar@mpcsd.org.
