World Language Program

At MPCSD, we believe being bilingual is nothing short of a superpower!  Learning more than one language strengthens the brain, boosts academic skills, and opens the door to deeper empathy and global understanding. Research shows that bilingual students develop stronger literacy, sharper memory, and the confidence to communicate with people all over the world.

That’s why every K–5 student in the Menlo Park City School District has the chance to learn Spanish—either through our weekly Spanish Specialist program or our comprehensive Spanish Immersion program.

And the journey doesn’t stop there: in middle school, students can continue Spanish, begin French, and dive into exploring different cultures as they grow into global citizens.

Being bilingual isn’t just an advantage—it’s an adventure, and we’re excited to support every student on the journey!
