•  Bill Hairston

Mr. Hairston loves drama and all things theatrical. He is into gardening, vegan cooking, and he's an avid tennis player.

This is his fourth year as the drama director and drama teacher at Hillview and his seventeenth year teaching. Originally from the Midwest, he studied English and Drama at the University of Southern Indiana, and went on to graduate programs in theatre at the University of Iowa (go Hawkeyes!) and Ohio University (go Bobcats!). Mr Hairston began his teaching career in the Los Angeles area and has taught at Encore High School for the Performing Arts, Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo and James Logan High School in Union City.

His favorite directorial productions include: Sweeney Todd, Big River, Our Town, HONK!, CATS, Footloose and The Miracle Worker.

Hillview Drama is a wonderful opportunity to spend 10 weeks building an excellent production to share with an audience. He encourages you to try out for a show or join the technical theatre crew for an upcoming production!
