LISA STICKLES - SPANISH TEACHER
I’m so excited to be starting my first year at Hillview Middle School as the Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 teacher. Last year, I taught 4th grade at Los Robles Dual Immersion Magnet Academy in East Palo Alto.
My passion for Spanish began early when my family and I moved to Mexico, where we lived for nearly 6 years. I also studied abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain while I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from San Francisco State University. After attending SFSU, I moved home (San Diego) to earn my teaching credential at California State University, San Marcos.
I am currently working on my Masters of Arts in Multilingual and Multicultural Education.
My family and I live in Redwood City. Our son, Toby, turned ONE on July 22nd. We have a playful Boston terrier named Taco and a sleepy kitty named Buddy.
I am so eager to meet my students and am looking forward to an emocionante school year.
