• bio Hello!  I am Jeanne McCann.  I was born and raised nextdoor in Palo Alto.  I recieved my undergraduate degrees at Chico State University in Liberal Studies and Spanish.  I studied abroad in Madrid during my junior year and obtained my bilingual teaching credential from San Diego State University.  I recieved my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Intervention from Santa Clara University.  I am currently completing my Certificate in Reading Intervention from UC Irvine.

    I have been a teacher in the Menlo Park City School District since 1997.  I started teaching Kindergarten at Laurel.  I moved to Oak Knoll in 2004 where I taught EL, Kindergarten and First Grade.  In 2009, I made it to Encinal!  I spent one year in Third before moving to Secong Grade.  In 2016, I moved into my current posistion of Literacy Specialist. I work with an amazing team of dedicated teachers who support our Encinal Eagels.  

    I have three boys, ages 11, 13 and 25!  All of them have been students in MPCSD.  I live in San Bruno with my husband, 2 of my boys and our two dogs, Penny and Nugget.  I enjoy traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time in our rustic cabin in Arnold, California.
