Mrs. Camper, 5th Grade Teacher at Encinal Elementary School

     Hi! I'm Marisyn Camper, a 5th grade teacher at Encinal Elementary School. I am a Bay Area native, born and raised in San Carlos, CA. I hold a Master's Degree in elementary education, and I recently completed my National Board Certification. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very early age, as I grew up visiting my mother's classroom. My mom, Jo Camper, was a Special Ed teacher and speech and language specialist in the Menlo Park District for many years. So, I was inspired by my mother and this amazing district. I started my teaching career in the Fall of 2010, when I was hired as a long-term sub for an Encinal 4th grade teeacher on maternity leave. After working for most of the school year, I was hired as a 5th grade teacher in the Fall of 2011. I am starting my 7th year teaching 5th grade, and I love it more than ever! 

    I live with my husband, Josh, and my son, Jensen. I also have a dog, Sam. In my spare time, I love reading, exercising, eating, spending time with my family, and occasionally watching really bad reality TV. I am very lucky to work at such an amazing school, with such amazing colleagues, students, and parents!
