Below is a list of clubs that students can participate in during the 2021-22 school year. New clubs may be added throughout fall.
Day & Place
6th Grade Girls Group
6th grade girls will have the chance to meet other 6th grade girls and connect with new friends throughout the school year. Come meet new people and classmates.
Digital Art Club
The Digital Art Club is a student-led club for students that want a space to create and share their digital art skills and designs with others.
Students read high interest books and discuss in a facilitated group setting – some facilitated by our amazing librarians, others led by students.
Dungeons & Dragons Club

Mr. Hunt Looking for a space to play some D n D? Mr. Hunt will provide two days a week to get your D n D on. Come have fun, one and all!
If you love drama games and activities, this is the place to be!!! Students will do tons of improv and drama games. In addition, we will explore ways to enjoy drama outside of Hillview by finding productions we would like to go and see!
Ms. Park Hawks meet up on Tuesdays in room C-3 to choreograph a short dance that we will then perform in the quad on Fridays. We do freestyles and sometimes give the members a chance to express themselves.
French Culture Club
Madame Kingsley Want to learn more about French culture, eat French food, listen to French music, and speak basic conversational French? Oui!
Hillview Gazette Club
The Newspaper Club is a place where students can work on or create newspapers. Our primary focus will be putting out a weekly/bi-weekly volume of our newspaper.
The Card Club
The Card Club is a place where students can play a variety of games at lunch.
LatinX Student Union
The LatinX Club is designed to promote activities of common interest, as well as cultural and educational benefits for every student. The LatinX Student Union will strive to unite and educate students about their cultural heritage, by promoting leadership and stressing academic excellence.
Spanish Tutoring Club
Students in S4SS 3 are tutoring other Hillview students who need extra practice with the vocabulary and content learned in their Spanish classes. ¡Bienvenidos a nuestro club de tutoría en español! (Welcome to our Spanish Tutoring Club!)
Lego Stop Motion Film Club
Come have some fun building Lego stop motion films with or without Legos and possibly make an appearance at Hawk Talk.
Ms. Park Welcome to the world of Pokémon! The Pokémon Club is a place where anyone can come to learn all about Pokémon! From trading cards, building Pokémon decks, playing the Pokémon trading card game (Pokémon TCG) or learning how to battle, we have it all!
Cheer & Dance Club
Mrs. DeAnda All students interested in learning and practicing dance/cheer routines for fun, come join us!
Mrs. Arrington The Gay–Straight Alliance (GSA) is a student-led organization that is intended to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students. Everyone is welcome on Wednesdays in G-7.
Hispanic Culture & Reading Club

Black Student Union
Ms. Park The Black Student Union’s (BSU) purpose is to build awareness, education, and a new level of consciousness about being an African American in today's society. The BSU is open to all students.
Ms. Cypert The Feminist Club is where everyone is welcome! In this club, we will discuss issues of gender, race, and different backgrounds.
Mr. O'Brien Think Naruto is the best anime/manga? Fan of Bleach instead? Rocking the Dragon Ball-Z gear? We love all anime and manga fans!
Mr. Schneiderman Want to practice some of your Kahoot skills? Have some review that you need help with? Kahoot Club is for you!
YouTube Content Creator Club
Mr. Hairston The YouTube content creator club is looking for our next YouTube star. Come refine your skills, make videos, and build content with fellow budding YouTube stars.
Mental Health Club
Mrs. Connelly Want support from your peers or do you want to help support others? The purpose of this club is to raise awareness about mental health in our community. It provides a safe space for students to talk about their mental health.
6th Grade Art Club
Mrs. Kogan For any 6th graders who are interested in an organized time to pursue personal interests in art across many different genres and media types, this is the club for you!
Mr. Babington The Debate Club is an informal, welcoming space for students to discuss contemporary issues in politics and global affairs and to learn the art of “organized arguing.”
Mr. Schneiderman The Science Club provides opportunities for students to participate in and learn more about science and perhaps engage in a few experiments here and there. This is open to all students.
Mr. Espinoza This club will discuss the impact of various historical events and figures on our modern life. Topics have included why plague doctors wore beaked masks, William Dampier, the English pirate who circumnavigated the globe 3 times and discovered avocados, and the economic effects of the Civil War on the international cotton trade. All students are welcome and can highlight personal connections they have to history (ie descendants of Jonas Salk, inventor of the polio vaccine). History club students enjoy discussing the responses to “How did we get to now?”
