Menlo Park City School District opened its school year on August 20, 2020 in Distance Learning for all students. On September 8, 2020 MPCSD began returning student to campus in person, beginning with most vulnerable learners following CPDH approved guidance. By November 9, 2020 all grades K-8 were attending in person in the Hybrid model. On April 26, 2021 all Hybrid students in grades 2-5 began attending in person every day. MPCSD is using guidance from the San Mateo County Office of Education, the San Mateo County Health Department, the California Department of Public Health, and other sources as cited within these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). It is important to understand that the situation around COVID-19 changes often; MPCSD will continue to adjust its planning as county and state health guidance changes. It is also possible that at any time during the 2020-21 school year, health orders will require a shift in approach. We remain nimble and responsive. Please join us in having an open and flexible mindset as we move forward. Together we will get through these challenging times.
