AMY KINGSLEY - FRENCH TEACHER

  • kingsley

I am excited to be teaching French at Hillview Middle School!  My love of French started in the 3rd grade on a family trip to France.  I took my first French classes at Burlingame Intermediate School and continued my studies at Burlingame High School.  During my semester abroad in college in Strasbourg, France, I decided to become a French teacher.  I graduated from UC Davis with double majors in French and Sociology.  I worked at the tourist office in Bordeaux before I got my teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namurs University.  I have also lived in Paris and La Rochelle.  I have experience teaching at high school and middle school levels. Before I came to Hillview, I spent 13 years teaching at Notre Dame High School in Belmont.  I have led students trips to France and I enjoy traveling and cooking.  I am looking forward to sharing my love for the French language and culture with my students.
