Jocelyn Guerra

4th Grade Teacher at Oak Knoll Elementary School

    Hi! I'm Jocelyn Guerra, a 4th grade teacher at Oak Knoll Elementary School. I am a Bay Area native, born and raised in San Jose, CA. I hold a Master's Degree in elementary education and achieved National Board Certification on December 1, 2018. I started my teaching career in the fall of 2004 in Connecticut, where I taught kindergarten and 3rd grade. In 2009, I moved back to the Bay Area after living on the east coast for 14 years. I taught 3rd and 4th grades in the Moreland School District in San Jose from 2009-2014. After having my second son, I decided I needed to work closer to home, which brings me to the present day. In 2014 I was hired by MPCSD and the rest is history! 

    I live with my husband, Jeff, and my two sons, Lucas and Dean. I also have a dog, Stella, and a cat, Mackie. In my spare time I love reading, gardening, hiking, skiing, cooking, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
