Parke Treadway, Public Information Officer
Parke Treadway is a Northern California native raised in the public schools of Palo Alto and graduating with honors from San Jose State University with a BA degree in English. She has a passion for youth and education and has volunteered for over three decades in all aspects of schooling. This experience and heart for equity led her to the classrooms of Ravenswood City School District, volunteering through the non-profit program All Students Matter where she currently serves on the Board.
Parke served as a Board member for the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation from 2008-2012 and then joined MPAEF’s Jeannie Ritchie Innovation Grant committee. She volunteered throughout MPCSD as a newsletter editor, room parent, art, and library helper, and PTO secretary and communications coordinator.
Prior to joining MPCSD, Parke worked for many years in the School of Medicine at Stanford University, providing administrative, grant-writing, and marketing support for a non-profit continuing medical education program. As MPCSD's Public Information Officer, she now focuses on telling MPCSD’s story. Parke’s two college-aged children attended MPCSD K-8 before graduating from Menlo Atherton High School and her experience as a district parent enhances her understanding of and relationships with the community on which we depend for our support.
